After a two year hiatus, I am excited to serve on the Newberry County Young Professional Board once again. As an original founding member of the NYPs, I know how important it is to be involved in the community and how organizations like this can keep you active. I currently serve as the Associate Director of Admissions and US Operations of Franklin University Switzerland. Prior to working at Franklin I worked at my alma mater, Newberry College ‘10 as the Guest Experience Coordinator for the Office of Admission.
I am also a part of the Newberry County Leadership Class and serve as the chair for the Community Christmas Tree committee. I am so proud of where our county has been and where we are going! I live in downtown Newberry with my husband, Jay Snyder who is the Associate Head Baseball Coach at Newberry College, and our two pups Abel Grace and Atlas.
Growing up I always had big dreams for Newberry, a Starbucks and a gladiator arena being the two that really stick out in my mind. I find myself in the fortunate position, once again, of being on the Board of Directors for the Newberry County Young Professionals in hopes of making Newberry County a happier place (not just for gladiators). In the past, I served on the board as vice president and on the bylaws committee even though I have never needed an enhanced role to show my worth. I was born and raised in Prosperity and now live in one of the oldest houses in town. In 2012, I graduated from Clemson University with a degree in Biological Sciences. During the week, I am an Environmental Engineer at the Savannah River Site in Aiken South Carolina but most weekends you can still find me in Newberry doing anything from reminiscing about my days working at Half Full to heckling performers at the Opera House. Please contact me for any questions you may have about Newberry or investment opportunities for gladiator entertainment.
